- Respect all members.
- Community Center hall will be treated as dojo during taiko practice.
- Give a respect to dojo before entering/leaving by giving a slight bow. (note 1)
- All home and personel problems shall be left outside of the dojo.
- Be on time for practice.
- If you are going to miss practice, send message through absent@kokorotaiko.org
- If you arrive late, don't disrupt practice session. Enter dojo discreetly and quietly.
- Help setup taiko before practice as well as put away after practice.
- Be aware that taiko is physically demanding.
- Wear non-slip shoes.
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement.
- Use of hearing protection is highly recommeneded.
- Sensi (instructor in charge) and members will help and support new member learn taiko.

1. Only applies to entering before practice starts and leaving when practice ends.
A living tree gave its life to make our taiko. Likewise, a living cow (steer) gave its life to make the drum head. We should honor and respect the life which transmits through our Taiko.
